My 6 Beauty + Wellness Rituals
1. The Skinny Confidential Dry Brush
This is my one-minute pre-shower ritual, and it's the one I'd never give up. I brush on dry skin with long, light strokes, starting at my feet and hands and moving up toward my heart. It feels like a little lymphatic drainage moment, and my skin feels so smooth afterward.
How I use it: Brush before you shower, never on wet skin. Rinse off, then follow with lotion or body oil to lock in moisture. Keep the pressure gentle. Your skin should feel awake, not red or scratched. Always check to make sure dry brushing is safe for you.
2. Therabody TheraFace
This is my at-home facial in one device. I love that it has both cool and warm settings. I use cool in the morning to depuff before coffee, and warm at night to help my serums sink in.
How I use it: A few minutes on clean skin, moving outward from the center of my face. It's my favorite shortcut on mornings I wake up puffy. At night I use the heated method before applying my serums and moisturizer.
3. Mount Lai Rose Quartz Gua Sha
This is the most relaxing part of my night. I keep my gua sha in the fridge so it's cool to the touch, then use it before bed with a few drops of facial oil. I'm loving Jamie Anne the Bare Minimum Oil
How I use it: Always apply oil first so the stone glides instead of tugging. Hold the tool almost flat against your skin and use gentle upward and outward strokes along your jaw, cheekbones and forehead.
4. Castor Oil Pack
My cozy slow-down ritual. I use Heritage Store organic castor oil on a reusable pack, place it on my belly and add a heating pad on top. Then I lie down for 30 to 45 minutes with a good show or a book or leave it on overnight.
It's deeply moisturizing, cozy and so calming, and it's my go-to when I feel bloated. Mostly, I love that it forces me to slow down and take a moment for myself.
How I use it: Castor oil stains, so wear old pajamas and put a towel underneath. Patch test first if you have sensitive skin.
5. Nightly Magnesium
Pure Encapsulations Magnesium Glycinate has become part of my bedtime routine. I take it in the evening as part of my wind-down.
Please note: I'm not a doctor. Always check with yours before adding a supplement to make sure it's right for you.
6. Himalayan Salt Rock Lamp
The easiest ritual of all. My salt lamp glows on my nightstand every evening, and that warm, soft light tells my brain it's time to wind down. It's the coziest nighttime ambiance, and it's so much nicer than overhead lights before bed.
How They Fit Into My Day
You don't need to do all six every day. I don't! Here's how they naturally fall into my routine.

FAQ
How often should you dry brush? I dry brush most days before I shower. If your skin is sensitive, start with two or three times a week and use a lighter touch.
Should you use gua sha on dry skin? No. Always use a facial oil or a slippy serum first so the stone glides. Dragging it across dry skin can tug and irritate.
Why keep a gua sha in the fridge? A cool stone feels amazing, especially on puffy mornings or after a long day. It's optional, but I love it.
How long do you leave a castor oil pack on? I usually leave mine on for 30 to 45 minutes with a heating pad on top or over night. Follow the directions that come with your pack.
Do castor oil packs stain? Yes, castor oil can stain fabric. Wear old pajamas and lay a towel underneath.
When do you take magnesium? It's part of my bedtime routine. Talk to your doctor about whether a supplement is right for you, and how much.
What does the TheraFace actually do? The one I use has interchangeable attachments, including warm and cool settings. I use cool to depuff and warm before my serums.
Little Rituals, Feel-Good Moments
Wellness doesn't have to mean doing more. Sometimes it's just finding a few small rituals that make you feel good, inside and out. Start with one, make it yours and build from there.
