Oh Baby, Those Blues

Oh Baby, Those Blues

So I'm walking to this alley spot, with my baby in her buggy wearing these high waisted jeans, and my cropped tie top and I'm a little anxious about showing skin as I walk and yet I'm really fired up about how bohemian I feel, how my body feels beautiful and womanly in these clothes, and how I feel like my mom wore a top like this back in the day, walkin' her baby in the buggy, a nod to the seventies for sure.  We were in North Park, and I felt the artistic vibe of Ray Street, and I...

Pardon My French

Pardon My French

I am coveting all the graphic tees we've just received.  I have written to you about this before. I love how they allow you to make a public statement, infuse a sentiment into your day, into a space, and for others to consider as well.  Pardon my french is pretty safe, really, but I love the idea that fiery french represents passion which can be happy, sexy, angry, fierce.  And while I don't want your passion to need permission, I love the saying: pardon me but I must say.... my truth! Suns Out! Buns Out...

Suns Out! Buns Out...

... and by buns I mean BICEPS, bc guns just doesn't seem right to say and I'm not warm enough for a swim suit just yet. Holy Holy Holy is a statement in one of my meditations.  It's soothing and I find myself saying it to myself sometimes, with a deep breath.  Holy holy holy.  I am thinking a lot about external soothing to our inner feelings/thoughts.  This big world outside of ourselves can feel out of control, challenging, rude, loud, over stimulating (even with greatness), and how we navigate or cope with our experience is a big part of...

I got the whole world in my hand

I got the whole world in my hand

Our aprés tennis sweater reminded me of the Chanel Collection from the year I visited Paris, primarily red white and blue, was it Spring 2016?  This sweater arrived just as we were notified that Karl Lagerfeld had passed.  Naturally named To Karl With Love. I was reading about Coco to Lillian, and she came up in conversation with my aunts and then in a business meeting.  Here's what I've read: she fought hard to make her parfum just a certain way, with just a certain chemist, with just a certain, incredibly rare flower, and it was expensive.  It was also her...

Sneakers & Stripes

Sneakers & Stripes

Years ago, my husband asked me, if we ever have a child, will the baby's room be ALL gingham or just some of it.  I had to laugh when I came in to see our new arrivals, and the gingham dress had been named "So Cecelia" by our stylist Suher.  Needless to say I'm obsessed with it. Stripes and Gingham are my absolutely FAVS, and I wear no dress without sneakers these days. These styles pair perfectly!  The French and Italians are known for their sensible and chic sneaks with dresses; its brilliant and incredibly comfortable, especially when traveling.  What are your...
